D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Fair Lending Analyst II. The right candidate will serve as a well-versed mortgage compliance fair lending resource, assistance with various projects and a training presence. This individual will be a resource to all employees regarding interpretation and implementation of HMDA and fair lending DHI Mortgage Policies/Procedures. Responsible for verifying compliance has been achieved.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide guidance, enterprise wide, regarding HMDA data and fair lending compliance matters
  • Collaborate with other fair lending and departmental teammates
  • Assist in the creation of ongoing HMDA data and fair lending compliance related training material
  • Lead various tasks related to the HMDA data preparation and submission process
  • Participate in, and capable of leading, the quarterly and annual HMDA Data submission process
  • Perform ongoing detailed data analysis
  • Participate in and lead various tasks associated with required fair lending deliverables. Focus point includes but is not limited to, assisting with the creation and completion of quarterly and annual comparative and individual file reviews
  • Assist with the responses to incoming emails from the Compliance911 team pertaining to HMDA data or fair lending, with the assistance of a Fair Lending Analyst III or Team Lead
  • Maintain knowledge of new and changing HMDA and fair lending regulations and the impact on processes and line of business
  • Verify internal policies and procedures comply with federal and state level laws and regulations. Although not all inclusive, examples of such laws and regulations include Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA), additional state and federal regulations
  • Ongoing education of the software utilized for HMDA data preparation and submission, and fair lending analyses
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to work overtime

 


Qualifications


Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to four years of mortgage compliance or related production experience
  • Working knowledge of HMDA and fair lending regulations
  • Fundamental understanding of financial services functions
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work remotely in a home office environment if necessary
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
  • The noise level is generally moderate

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Two to four years in role specific to mortgage compliance fair lending experience preferred
