We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Facilities AutoCAD Drafter to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating precise architectural and engineering drawings for facility layouts, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Your expertise will support construction projects, building code compliance, and system design, ensuring that all schematics and documentation meet industry standards. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for facility layouts, mechanical systems, and interior designs using AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and other CAD software.
- Create accurate schematics, construction details, and system designs that adhere to building codes and safety standards.
- Utilize 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, and SolidWorks to visualize complex systems and spatial arrangements.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts into precise technical drawings.
- Support building information modeling (BIM) processes by integrating data into models for efficient project coordination.
- Assist in building code analysis to ensure all designs comply with local regulations and standards.
- Prepare comprehensive construction documentation that facilitates smooth project execution on-site.
- US Citizenship required due to ITAR Restrictions
Experience
- Proven experience in CAD drafting within the facilities or construction industry.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and Rhino 3D is highly desirable.
- Experience with BIM tools for building design and system integration is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction detail documentation and building code compliance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical design or interior design projects is a plus.
- Ability to interpret architectural schematics and technical specifications accurately.
- Prior experience using graphic design or system design software enhances your candidacy.
