The Escrow and Title IT Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing all IT-related operations within the company. This includes maintaining and optimizing escrow and title software systems, ensuring the security of sensitive client data, and providing technical support to staff. The specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure technology aligns with business needs and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Management: Administer and maintain escrow and title management software systems. Ensure systems are updated, secure, and functioning efficiently to support daily operations.
2. Data Security: Implement and oversee cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive client information against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as ALTA Best Practices.
3. Technical Support: Provide timely technical support to employees, troubleshooting issues related to software, hardware, and network systems. Ensure minimal downtime and maintain productivity.
4. Training: Conduct training sessions for staff on the use of escrow and title software, cybersecurity practices, and other IT-related procedures to enhance operational efficiency and security awareness.
5. Vendor Management: Liaise with software vendors and service providers to ensure that the company has access to necessary technology solutions and support. Manage contracts and negotiate terms to align with company goals and budget.
6. Disaster Recovery and Data Backup: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of system failure or cyber incidents. Regularly test backup procedures to verify effectiveness.
7. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that all IT practices comply with regulatory requirements. Prepare and maintain documentation and reports related to system performance, incident management, and compliance audits.
8. Innovation: Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends in the escrow and title industry. Recommend and implement technology solutions that can enhance operational efficiency, customer service, and competitive advantage.
