At Qventus, you will have the opportunity to work with an exceptional, mission-driven team across the globe, and the ability to directly impact the lives of patients. We’re inspired to work with healthcare leaders on our founding vision and unlock world-class medicine through world-class operations.

About the role:

We are seeking a true “player coach” frontend Engineering Manager for our core applications team, who will help grow and architect the next generation of our core frontend applications. The core team builds applications for both the Perioperative and Inpatient solution spaces, working directly with care teams to automate workflows, optimize operations, and improve patient outcomes.

In this role, you’ll truly own the frontend experience that Core Teams use on a daily basis, collaborating with our design, backend engineering and QA teams to assure pixel perfect UX while assuring on-time delivery for you and your team. We’re looking for someone to take our frontend solutions to the next level and build a next generation architecture for our frontend applications and deliver products based on it.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
  2. Lead by doing - foster and build a team culture that promotes our value of “Plan, Do, Learn and Improve” and be an active contributor to the development of our frontend applications.
  3. Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
  4. Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews to support growth and development.
  5. Project Management:
  6. Lead the design, development, and vision for frontend applications and codebases.
  7. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with company objectives.
  8. Drive agile processes and establish best practices for engineering workflows.
  9. Technical Leadership:
  10. Collaborate with Product Management, Tech Leads, and Design teams to define technical requirements and product roadmaps.
  11. Guide the team in architecture and technical decisions to increase efficiency towards building pixel perfect applications.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Proven experience (5+ years) in software engineering with 2+ years in an engineering management or technical leadership role.
  2. Strong technical expertise in Typescript, delivering SPAs with experience in modern React (or similar) codebases.
  3. Experience delivering AI, machine learning, or data-driven products in a production environment.
  4. Solid understanding of software development best practices, including CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
  5. Familiarity with cutting edge dev tooling, including GenAI, to increase velocity of the team.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and alignment.
  7. Proven track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
  8. Hands-on coding contribution up-to 50%

It’s a Plus if You Have…

  1. Experience in healthcare technology or developing solutions for highly regulated industries.
  2. Experience with backend API development (especially in Python)
