Under direction of the Senior Oil and Gas Engineer (Supervisor), the Engineering Geologist will function as a Field and Regulatory Specialist within the Northern District’s Orcutt office. The incumbent will perform activities associated with the development of natural resources both independently as well as in a team environment. As a Field and Regulatory Specialist, the incumbent is expected to conduct complex field inspections, including underground gas storage facilities (UGS), and perform difficult geologic and engineering work.

Working Conditions
This position is located in Ventura and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, with up to two days in office. Employees must reside in California and be able to satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. The hybrid telework schedule will allow for up to three days of remote work per week depending on department needs.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
