Editor and Content Manager
Storyshares is seeking a part-time Editor to dedicate 10–20 hours per week to support the development of high-quality, engaging texts for older striving readers. This role includes copyediting, proofreading, fact-checking, and (optionally) developmental editing across a range of fiction and nonfiction titles, including decodable and high-low books.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent editorial judgment, adaptability, initiative, and adherence to deadlines. This individual will report to the Chief Product Officer and collaborate closely with writers, phonics editors, designers, and the broader Storyshares team to ensure all materials meet our quality and accessibility standards.
Candidates should be passionate about literacy and excited to work on content that supports students in grades 3–12, particularly those who have fallen behind in reading. The Editor plays a critical role in refining manuscripts, maintaining consistency across titles, and ensuring that all content is clear, accurate, engaging, and appropriate for our audience.
