We're looking for an experienced eBook Compositor who can work with us remotely in a freelance or independent contractor capacity for our Publishing division.

Work/Skills:

• Lay out eBook versions of complex textbooks with hundreds of images and sidebars.
• Organize and manage assets (photos, screenshots, diagrams, illustrations).
• Create eBooks in various formats from InDesign source files.

Desired Characteristics:

• High level of proficiency with InDesign.

• Expertise with ePUB, PDF, MOBI, and other digital formats.

• Familiarity with and access to Adobe Creative Cloud software packages.

• Keen eye for color and composition.

• Dedication to meeting project deadlines in a timely manner.

• Strong time management skills.

• Attention to detail with regard to text editing and layout.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Print compositing experience a plus.

• Experience working with Amazon/KDP desired.

• Background in textbook design a plus.

• Familiarity with the game industry desired.
