Technical Sales Engineer

To support its strategic business plan, rapid business growth, and increasing customer needs, Ebatco is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Sales Engineer.
The ideal candidates will be highly motivated, experienced, and tech savvy sales engineers and professionals. They will have excellent technical presentation, written and verbal communication skills, strong multitasking capacity, ability to build strong and lasting customer relationships, strong desire to succeed, and willingness and competitive nature to sell.
The Technical Sales Engineer will perform consultative, solution-based and value-based selling, as well as other marketing and technical sales related duties. S/he is responsible for generating and developing new businesses and customers in the assigned Eastern US territory. In addition, S/he is responsible for increasing business sales within the existing customer base. S/he will be rewarded for successes in selling and marketing high-demand testing and measurement instruments, technical consulting and contract lab services.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or advanced degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or other related science and engineering disciplines
· 3 or more years of experience in industrial and technical sales
· Ability to work independently to achieve goals, self-motivated
· Ability to multi-task and to establish priorities so as to achieve optimal efficiency and best results
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Strong technical skills
· Customer service oriented
· Willingness and ability to travel by car and air
· Quick learner with a strong desire to win
· Previous success in a performance driven, incentive and sales commission environment
· Proven closing and networking skills, and general computer proficiency
Essential Duties: The list includes all major duties for the Technical Sales Engineer, but it is not all-inclusive. The Technical Sales Engineer may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this list.
· Generate new leads and follow-through on existing leads
· Establish sales calls through cold calls, referrals, and networking
· Identify potential customers and projects
· Maintain good customer records using ACT! Database or other CRM software
· Pro-actively respond to customer questions and requests
· Visit customers and potential customers on site
· Present and explain sales quotations and coordinate with internal customer support team for project execution
· Organize and attend customer demos
· Close sales and support customer pre- and post-sales
· Meet sales quotas and provide monthly sales forecast
· Provide customer feedback and market trend information
· Present technical materials to large variety of audiences at different knowledge levels
· Actively represent, promote Ebatco at trade shows, conferences and workshops
· Follow Ebatco company policies and procedures
· Be professional, courteous and cooperative when interacting with customers and staff
Compensation:
· Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
