Job Description:

J.R. Dunn Jewelers is a 57-year-old, family-owned fine jewelry and Swiss watch retailer based in Lighthouse Point, Florida. Co-founded in 1969 by Jim and Ann Marie Dunn, the company operates one of the largest independent luxury jewelry catalogs in the country and is an authorized dealer for Rolex, Tudor, Roberto Coin, Tacori, Marco Bicego, John Hardy, Ippolita, Mikimoto, and an extensive roster of leading designers.

In 2024 we opened our new 14,000-square-foot showroom, and we are now in the middle of a transformation in how we operate digitally.

Currently we are building AI-driven CRM, modernizing our buying systems, and rebuilding our web and content channels to win in the new era of AI-powered search. We were one of the first authorized luxury jewelry dealers to sell designer brands online via Google Ads in the early 2000s, and we see the current shift in search as the same kind of inflection point. We intend to be early again.

This role is central to that bet.

The Role

You are responsible for creating product detail pages, category pages, and editorial features (blogs) we publish. This production discipline determines our search visibility, conversion performance, and AI-engine citation rate.

You will operate against an established Content Production Standards manual, run a weekly keyword research cadence using tools we already pay for (Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console), and work closely with our team on technical SEO and structured data implementation.

Product Detail Pages (PDPs)

  1. Produce or review every PDP before publish — currently a catalog of several thousand SKUs growing weekly
  2. Apply the tier-based title formula (search-volume-driven, not formulaic) for every product
  3. Write or edit descriptions that lead with specifics: designer, materials, certification, provenance
  4. Ensure Product schema is populated correctly on every page — Carat Weight, clarity, color, cut, stone origin, certification lab, report number, etc
  5. Run pre-publish QC against the PDP Checklist; sign off on cornerstone pages personally

Category & Collection Pages

  1. Build and maintain category-level content that ranks for high-volume commercial terms ("diamond engagement rings," "tennis bracelets," individual designer landing pages)
  2. Write educational content blocks (500–800 words) that answer the questions real buyers ask before selecting a piece
  3. Implement FAQ schema using actual questions.

Editorial / Journal / Blog

  1. Produce a minimum of two editorial pieces per month: buying guides, designer features, J.R. Dunn institutional stories
  2. Build editorial briefs from keyword research before writing a single word
  3. Coordinate author bylines with credentialed members of the J.R. Dunn team

Requirements:

  1. 2+ years in ecommerce content production, SEO content strategy, or digital merchandising.
  2. Working proficiency in Ahrefs or Semrush, you can run a content gap analysis, identify striking-distance keywords, and interpret SERP feature data without supervision
  3. Attention to detail.
  4. Excellent writer in long and short form — you understand the difference between writing a 250-word PDP and a 1,500-word buying guide and can do both well.
  5. Demonstrable portfolio of product pages and category pages you have produced that rank in Google positions 1–10 for commercial-intent terms.
  6. Detail-oriented to the point of being annoying about it — typos, broken schema, missing alt text, and inconsistent capitalization all bother you.
  7. Must have an eye for photography and design.
  8. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  9. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
  10. Great work ethic and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal.)
  12. Technically savvy.
  13. Comfortable with and receptive to feedback; desire to quickly address feedback.
  14. Promotes innovation and creativity while following best practices where applicable to ensure the ultimate User Experience.
  15. Accountable and self-motivated.
  16. Design and produce high quality graphical assets using Adobe Photoshop to support our E-Commerce platform across all devices including desktops, tablets, and mobile.

Plus:

  1. Direct experience in fine jewelry, luxury watch retail, or strong adjacent experience (luxury fashion, art, wine, high-end hospitality.)
  2. GIA Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP) credential — and if you do not have it, we will pay for you to complete it in your first year.
  3. Familiarity with the new AI search landscape (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) and how content earns citation in these engines
  4. Experience collaborating closely with creative/art direction teams

Bonus Experience:

  1. GIA Graduate Gemologist or Graduate Diamonds credential
  2. Experience with Power BI or other BI tools — we use Power BI heavily for inventory and sales
  3. analytics, and our content team will be increasingly data-driven
  4. Direct experience with Promoboxx or designer co-op marketing programs

Benefits:

  1. 401(k)
  2. Dental insurance
  3. Employee discount
  4. Health insurance
  5. Paid time off
  6. Vision insurance

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
