Job Overview/Summary:
The Drupal Developer will manage the development and maintenance of web portals and applications, ensuring accessibility, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. The role involves collaborating with teams, monitoring performance, and enhancing site functionality. This position will also require experience with the Drupal platform, web design, and various programming languages to ensure the efficient operation of the organization’s websites.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain internet and intranet portals, forms, and structures
- Serve as the primary contact for all public website-related issues
- Perform backups and ensure site reliability
- Ensure accessibility according to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards
- Collaborate with teams to encourage unified web design
- Analyze web analytics to improve SEO, web traffic, and performance
- Design the look and feel of the site and maintain design standards
- Monitor and scale site capacity to meet traffic demands
- Document and manage the ownership of the organization’s internet domains
- Assist employees with website usage through support, guides, and training
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and relevant laws
- Stay current with best practices and emerging web technologies
Primary Skills:
- Extensive experience with Drupal (latest version), including content creation, administration, and integration
- Knowledge of web design, management, and SEO best practices
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS, and working knowledge of PHP, XML, SQL, JavaScript
- Familiarity with REST APIs and web content management systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience working with ColdFusion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to be creative in web design for large-scale websites
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Equivalent progressive professional experience may be substituted for education
- At least 5 years of experience working with Drupal in administration and content management
