DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The responsibilities of this role include the preparation of plans, details, and sections for abandoned mine reclamation projects, which may vary in complexity and scope. The individual in this position will be tasked with designing these projects, ensuring that they are carried out effectively and efficiently. The work will involve careful consideration of environmental factors, safety regulations, and project requirements to achieve successful reclamation of abandoned mine sites.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania.
  • Salary: Most selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,836.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Two years of experience as a Drafter; or
  • Two years of experience as an Environmental Engineering Technician, which includes a minimum of one year of engineering, architectural or survey drafting work, including or supplemented by six months of CADD experience or training; or
  • Two years of experience in engineering, architectural or survey drafting work, including or supplemented by six months of CADD experience or training, and an Associate's Degree in the field of engineering technology or Computer Aided Drafting and Design; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and/or training, including or supplemented by six months of CADD experience or training.
