We are a full service Design Build Construction company currently looking to hire a skilled Draftsman with the ability to estimate and manage a project to be ready for Construction. We have been building in Howard, Baltimore, Anne Arundel Counties and the surrounding areas since 1972. The majority of our projects are from the ground up and include large Residential Additions, Foundations, Decks, Screened Porches, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Custom Carpentry, etc.

Required Skills:

-Digital Drafting Software; preferably Softplan or Chief Architect

-3D rendering of building exterior & interior

-Extensive knowledge of Residential Construction, Additions & Remodeling including knowledge of building materials used in Residential Construction

-Residential Building Codes & Compliances by County including International Residential Code

-Residential Building Permitting Process & Requirements

-Site Plans

-Project Costing & materials research

-Chief Architect

-Bluebeam

-Hover measurement software

-Microsoft Excel

-Google Drive

We work together to prepare and execute projects from start to finish. Communication via phone, text & Buildertrend is essential during business hours. Our office is located in Catonsville and the majority of our projects are within 30 miles of the area. This is a long term position and we are hiring immediately.

This is a great position for a creative draftsman with close attention to detail who enjoys all aspects of Residential Construction including but not limited to Custom Structures, Kitchen and Bathroom Design, Residential Home Layout and Design with consideration for exterior surroundings, Costing, Project Management, and challenging Construction Projects..

Compensation is to be determined

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour (**starting at, but negotiable based on experience)

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
