Job Description:

At Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia (HFHP), we are builders who work alongside, not for, others. We are driven by accountability and defined by our stick-to-itiveness. HFHP is seeking a Donor Relations Manager to join our Resource Development team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Annual Giving, the Donor Relations Manager will primarily focus on cultivating base-level giving and new donor relationships, bolstering monthly giving, and ensuring the integrity of our data management in Salesforce. Additional responsibilities include high-level administrative support for development operations, including reporting, gift processing, research, donor communications, and technology support to Resource Development Team.

Key Responsibility Area: Donor Management
 

  • Manages acquisition and cultivation strategies for all new and base-level donors
  • Prepares various lists to invite donors to special events including stewardship events, home dedications, groundbreakings, site tours, fundraising events, ReStore grand openings, etc
  • Participate in the planning and execution of major Habitat Philadelphia events as needed
  • Engage with Young Professionals’ Advisory Board and Board of Directors upon request
  • Develop and execute strategies for retaining and upgrading base-level and new donor giving
  • Ensure donors are thanked in a timely manner and all gifts are appropriately acknowledged through staff and board involved thank you calls
  • Creates strategies to grow the Hope Builders monthly giving program
  • Supports overall resource development team strategy to build on the culture of philanthropy at HFHP
     

Key Responsibility Area: Data/Gift Management and Administration
 

  • Process all donations and ensure timely gift acknowledgment
  • Maintain Salesforce database integrity by entering gifts, grants, in-kind, event registrations, constituents and prospects in Salesforce and perform ongoing database maintenance
  • Maintain reporting schedules and pulling reports as necessary; Maintain department/campaign dashboards, incorporating regular updates
  • Assists with appeals, preparing mailings, donor lists, and post-campaign reports
  • Track and follow-up on prospects and donors in conjunction with Sr. Manager of Annual Giving
  • Respond to inquiries from donors and funders; Assists with meeting materials, including pre-meeting research and collateral.
  • Liaise with the Finance Department regarding donor gifts and assist with Monthly Finance reconciliation
     

Key Responsibility Area: Logistics
 

  • Attend regular meetings with supervisor and development team meetings
  • Provide regular donor prospect reports as requested
  • Participate in professional development opportunities related to this position
  • Track expenses on monthly statement for approval
  • Manage and maintain donor contacts in Salesforce (donor database)
  • Travel to and from meetings and appointments in locations and times when public transit might not be available
     

Qualification

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills
 

  • Understanding of Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia’s vision and desire to advance our mission of affordable housing for all
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of office work experience in a related professional setting, preferably in fundraising and nonprofit environment
  • Prior experience with Salesforce and/or other CRM systems
  • Self-motivated team player, with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Flexibility, ability to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Highly reliable, extremely organized, and detail-oriented
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Discretion with confidential information
     

Physical Requirements To Perform Duties

Ability to be stationary for long periods at a computer

Benefits: The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and falls within the range of $53,000 to $58,000.
