Job Description:

Recess Pickleball is a rapidly growing lifestyle brand and startup based in Austin that manufactures and sells pickleball equipment. Help us drive our brand’s wholesale growth by developing and closing new business across our country club, pickleball club, and resort business segments. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role is ideal for a self-starting individual with a history of excelling in outbound sales and shaping sales systems in a startup environment. As an early member of the Recess sales team, you will serve an important role in our growth trajectory through building long-term relationships in these sales channels.

 

Responsibilities

  • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual wholesale revenue targets
  • Consistently prospect and drive creative outreach to country clubs, pickleball clubs, and resorts in a consultative, solutions-oriented approach
  • Develop a pipeline of qualified prospects large enough to meet or exceed sales quota
  • Own the sales process by documenting in CRM and maintain pipeline data throughout the entire sales process from initial prospecting through onboarding
  • Lead delivery of RFP responses and other sales pitches and proposals
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers within club and resort properties
  • Represent Recess externally at industry events and conferences
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned by the VP of Sales
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, and operations, to align strategies with overall business objectives.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years in Wholesale sales, preferably in consultative selling to senior level decision makers within the apparel and/or sports community
  • Proficient in G-Suite
  • Extensive experience utilizing a CRM
  • Experience in and/or deep knowledge of merchandising strongly preferred
  • Strong network of merchandise buyers or country club/resort directors preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in a startup environment
