Video Review Project Manager
The Director, Video Review will lead and manage our ongoing Video Review project. This task involves maintaining Video Review system integrity, developing and monitoring project plans and schedules, organizing and leading stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Project Strategy:
- Participate in strategic planning of Video Review initiative.
- Lead review of VAR related innovation initiatives.
- Maintain relationships with current and potential vendors for Video Review related systems and equipment.
Project Implementation:
- Responsible for continued successful Video Review implementation during the MLS regular and post-season, as well as the operation of other tournaments (e.g., Leagues Cup); duties include:
- Plan and execute installation and testing of Video Review into new Clubs/stadiums.
- Lead ongoing operation of Video Review functionality in conjunction with VAR system partners.
- Develop and execute certification requirements for VAR (Video Assisted Review) system testing prior to start of MLS season.
- Plan and execute new initiatives/improvements to VAR system.
Project Management
- Develop, maintain, and monitor VAR project plans and project schedules.
- Identify, develop, and maintain internal and external partner relationships.
- Organize, attend, and participate in partner meetings.
- Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
- Maintain all platforms and workflows for monitoring VAR performance/ implementation in matches.
- Maintain project management calendars for fulfilling initiative goals and objectives.
- Assist in coordinating data analysis needs between VAR stakeholders.
- Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Undertaking project tasks as required.
- Additional departmental responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8+ years demonstrated ability.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of sports broadcasting, including equipment and infrastructure
- Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
- High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Desired Skills
- Data insights/analysis platform experience (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
- Knowledge of the sport of soccer
Total Rewards
Starting Base Salary $115,000 - $155,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
