The Director of Property Management will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial properties in New Jersey. The position of Director of Property Management requires work stability and prior successful experience in the commercial arena. The portfolio consists of different asset classes such as office, medical, industrial, retail, etc.

This is a hands-on Director of Property Management position working with direct reports, inspecting properties, guiding the team, supporting company procedures, overseeing and managing internal policies and compliance, making certain technology is being utilized to its fullest potential, and always with a strong focus on customer service.

The Director of Property Management is expected to lead by example, providing guidance and mentorship, working with the team to provide short- and long-range capital improvement plans and working in partnership across departments such as construction and accounting.

Developing positive relationships with external vendors that provide services to the properties as well as relationships with building tenants, is part of this position. If any tenant related matter reaches the corporate office or becomes an escalated issue, the Director of Property Management resolves the matter.

As Director of Property Management, you will work closely with the site level property managers and will become familiar with our tenant leases, services and service contracts, CAM, property /owner obligations, oversee lease auditing, compliance with financial reporting, oversee annual budgeting, variance reporting, etc.

The qualifications being sought in a Director of Property Management will ideally include ten years of comparable industry experience of a diverse portfolio, a bachelor's degree, a solid understanding of accounting/finance, attention to detail, organizational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to tackle problems and find solutions, a customer service driven personality, with high level proficiency using MS Office including Excel and with YARDI experience (preferred) or similar property software.
