Job Description:

Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a high-priority search for a Director of Philanthropy on behalf of our client, an amazing organization that provides professional opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This is an exciting direct-hire, on-site position based in Dallas, TX.

 

 

Position Overview:

The Director of Philanthropy plays a critical role in leading strategies to cultivate and secure support from individual and institutional donors. This role is essential for driving philanthropic contributions and fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders. The Director will oversee daily fundraising tasks and personalized outreach efforts to expand the donor base and ensure sustainable funding, with a focus on impact and community engagement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of fundraising strategies to cultivate and secure support from individual and institutional donors.
  • Execute daily fundraising activities, including campaigns, grant writing, event planning, and digital fundraising efforts.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with donors and key stakeholders through personalized outreach and targeted engagement strategies.
  • Enhance organization visibility through community engagement and representation at events.
  • Implement a comprehensive donor stewardship program to recognize contributions and foster appreciation.
  • Collaborate with foundation teams to track fundraising progress and manage budgets.
  • Work closely with other departments to integrate fundraising initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Ensure fundraising activities adhere to legal standards, ethical practices, and organizational policies.
  • Seek and develop partnerships with businesses, foundations, and community organizations to expand funding opportunities.
  • Participate in regular assessments to improve fundraising strategies and activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and proven fundraising/development experience, with managerial oversight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with donor database management systems.
  • Strong organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering rapport with donors, volunteers, and the public, demonstrating diplomacy and discretion.

 

Compensation:

This opportunity offers an annual salary between $120,000 - $130,000. The comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, FSA, generous PTO, paid holidays, retirement plan with employer contributions, and more!
