Duties

The Director provides direct supervision to all Regional Administrations (RA's) with purview over the VETS Staff with the Office of Field Operations (OFO), located in the regional and field offices, The incumbent brings together the RA's and managers to facilitate the exchange of information across regional and field offices to establish management objectives and set goals, and to coordinate the resolution of issues, ensure consistency of operations across the regions and implementation of action plans as appropriate. The Director ensures that all Regional Office efforts are strategically aligned in furtherance of developing effective operating systems that promote the overall goals of assisting service members, veterans, and military spouses in gaining meaningful employment and protecting their employment rights.
