THE ROLE

 

You will serve as a highly visible and impactful leader accelerating Fortive’s pursuit to support success within the Operating Companies (“OpCos”). Through the FBS Office, you will build networks across OpCos and corporate, developing and helping to implement various go-to-market strategies. More than an advisor, this role provides a platform to drive significant change and accelerate growth across the Fortive portfolio. Additionally, you will have considerable career upside with the initial goal of eventually moving into a senior commercial role at an OpCo such as a Chief Customer Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, or President/General Manager.

What You Will Do

 

This leader will play a critical role in helping OpCos accelerate and increase their commercial success through the use of the FBS. They will help transform the commercial practices and organizations of OpCos in order to accelerate organic growth. As an inspiring leader at Fortive who is looked to for current and emerging Go-to-Market methodologies, you will help drive improvement and results in the highest impact areas by applying FBS. You will partner closely with OpCo Presidents and commercial leaders to set the FBS agenda and focus areas to drive deployment of these best practices.

 

Professional Background & Attributes

 

  • 10+ years of Go-To-Market leadership in a global high-tech company or equivalent experience in a consulting firm with solid engagement/project experience in sales and/or customer success.
  • This leader should have outstanding commercial performance with a consistent record driving incremental growth and gains in market share.
  • Proven track record and experience conducting customer research and generating and applying insights from this work. This individual will be seen as a leader in using customer research methodologies to evaluate and drive improvement in marketing, sales and customer success.
  • Adept at using data and digital initiatives to facilitate and lead others in adopting new processes and approaches. Will serve as the brain trust on emerging practices and methodologies and should demonstrate the ability to stay up to date and to use these practices to get results.
  • Experience driving improvements in marketing and sales execution including ability to diagnose and analyze performance, identify key levers, and help teams excel.
  • Experience in leading (or influencing) large teams to implement sophisticated initiatives using a systematic approach or business system strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills.

National: The salary range for this position is $140,600- $261,200

 

This position is also eligible for bonus and equity as part of the total compensation package.

 

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
