This position is posted on behalf of People Solutions Center's client, Mirowitz Center.

Mirowitz Center is seeking a visionary leader to serve as Director for our award-winning, pioneering senior center. Mirowitz Center, located in mid-St. Louis County, is a one-stop hub where adults (60+) enjoy a host of sophisticated programs, learning opportunities, health and wellness activities, affordable dining, socialization, access to health care services, and more! Mirowitz Center is a non-profit organization with a mission to help older adults stay engaged, well, and independent.

 

This position provides a salary range of $85,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We also offer a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance as well as a 401k plus match, paid time off and eligibility to receive a discounted rate to the campus fitness facility.

Requirements for our Director:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, non-profit management, or a related field;
  • 5+ years of experience as a manager including coaching and development of staff;
  • 5+ years of budget development and management;
  • Proven success in fundraising and development including grant writing activities;
  • Experience in program planning and implementation;
  • Marketing, public and community relations experience, and excellent communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, donor databases and other technology;
  • Must be able to ambulate across a large building, lift 5lbs, sit, stand, reach, bend, and communicate effectively on the telephone.

 

Preferred Qualifications for our Director:

  • Non-profit experience;
  • Familiarity with the St. Louis Jewish Community with a preference for an understanding of and connection to Jewish history, values, traditions and the Jewish community.

 

Key Responsibilities for our Director:

  • Training, supervising, supporting, developing and directing Mirowitz Center staff including hiring, interviewing and role development as needed;
  • Providing staff support for Mirowitz Center lay leadership and committees;
  • Working collaboratively and cross-functionally with affiliated entities;
  • Creating, tracking and managing budgets;
  • Overseeing all aspects of facilities services including commercial tenant areas while partnering and collaborating with the Facilities Director;
  • Developing, implementing, and writing materials for marketing and PR purposes;
  • Developing and facilitating fundraising strategies to provide financial support for programs/initiatives as well as writing and reporting on grants;
  • Interfacing with Mirowitz Center participants, volunteers, and commercial tenants as well as representing the Mirowitz Center at community events, with government officials, and with collaborative organizations and funders by acting as the Mirowitz Center ambassador and public relations point person;
  • Attending Covenant Place/Mirowitz Center Board and Committee meetings and other functions, as appropriate;
  • Other duties as assigned.
