Job Description

 

Informa Tech is seeking a highly skilled Digital SEO Content & Copy Editor to support the Enterprise IT media brands Information Week, IT Pro Today, Network Computing & Data Center Knowledge. This position will report into the editor in chief of a representative publication, to support the EIT team.

 

The ideal candidate is interested not only in serving an engaged audience of tech decision makers and influencers, but also in producing dynamic content focused on the cutting edge of today's enterprise innovators. You will have solid experience in both copy editing and a core zeal for writing highly optimized, data driven content.

 

Duties include:

  • Perform both SEO developmental and copy edits on existing and incoming content
  • Optimize existing archival content for increased KPI and conversion performance, including page views, SERP ranking, lead generation, audience and content engagement
  • Reporting on SERP gaps for keywords and topical coverage areas for up to four media properties
  • Audit content across our archive and structure for alignment with strategic tech audience segments
  • Crafts and edits social media posts to support off-site SEO efforts
  • Suggest text edits to enhance readability, conciseness, style and semantic search quality.
  • Ensure correctness and fact check information.
  • Maintain internal process and training documentation
  • Work with internal partners to support special issues, events and other media assets as needed
  • Writes and edits posts on social media to advertise our media, editorial and sponsored content
  • Help manage all production deadlines on a consistent basis
  • Work with editors, reporters and internal partners to ensure daily schedules are set and maintained

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, journalism, business, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in copy editing SEO for media sites, copywriting, journalism, or relevant
  • Experience in leveraging social media to support off-site SEO efforts
  • Highly organized and pays attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Adaptable to working in a high-paced global environment
  • Works well independently, and as part of a wider team
