⚡ DevOps Engineer (Lead)

✨ Series A Payments Revolutionizing Consumer Cashback

🌍 Remote (US)

A well-funded Series A payments company, focussed on providing cashback for 'green' spending is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help scale infra as they go from 5m -> 50m transactions. Fresh off a successful funding round, they're scaling the team and need an experienced payments engineer to drive their next growth phase.

You'd support a team of seven engineers and be the sole DevOps engineer. As they grow rapidly month-to-month, they're actively looking to raise their Series B and you should feel comfortable moving fast.

Responsibilities:

1. Automation & Infrastructure Management – Automating software deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and system configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
2. CI/CD Pipelines – Maintaining automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitHub.
3. Cloud & Server Management – Deploying applications to AWS, ensuring scalability and reliability.
4. Monitoring & Incident Response – Using Datadog to track system performance and quickly resolve issues.
5. Security & Compliance – Implementing security best practices, managing access controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
6. Collaboration – Working closely with developers, QA teams, and IT administrators to improve deployment efficiency and system reliability.

Requirements:

1. 3+ years of experience, with at least 2 years of that in a start-up (Series A/B) Payments company.
2. 3+ years of experience in DevOps
3. Experience in their stack: AWS, MongoDB, Cloudflare, Snowflake, GitHub)
4. Strong knowledge of the SDLC, and experience supporting a lean engineering team.
5. BSc or equivalent in Computer Science
6. Based in the US
7. US Citizen or Green Cards, can't sponsor VISAs at this time
