About the role


BizzyCar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in building and maintaining our cloud-based AWS infrastructure. You will be responsible for automating and optimizing our development and deployment processes, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications. As part of a distributed team spanning multiple time zones, you will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. Given our SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, adherence to security policies and controls is paramount. If you are passionate about DevOps principles, have a strong background in AWS, and thrive in a collaborative and security-conscious environment, we want to hear from you.


Responsibilities

  1. AWS Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage our AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other relevant services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  2. CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline, automating build, test, and deployment processes.
  3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and maintain IaC using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
  4. Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain comprehensive monitoring and logging systems using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK stack, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution.
  5. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance controls in accordance with SOC 2 Type 2 requirements, including access management, vulnerability scanning, and security auditing.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience 1 in DevOps or a related role, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  3. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  4. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  5. Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements, particularly related to SOC 2 Type 2.
