Role Overview

We are seeking a versatile and skilled Part-Time E-commerce Designer & Developer to support our ongoing web and e-commerce projects. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional who excels at blending robust, mobile-first design (UI/UX) with expert development across WordPress.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project-Based Design & Development: Execute specific design and development tasks across our core platforms (WordPress/WooCommerce), focusing on improving conversion rates and user experience.
2. Mobile-First Implementation: Ensure all assigned tasks and components are developed using strict mobile-first principles, maintaining responsiveness and performance.
3. Design Conversion: Translate approved static designs (from Figma or jpeg's) into clean, functional, and well-tested code for web and e-commerce platforms.
4. Platform Maintenance & Updates: Assist with theme customization, minor feature additions, plugin configuration, and platform updates on existing client websites.
5. UI/UX Improvement: Propose and implement minor UX/UI tweaks based on best practices and identified areas for improvement.
6. Code Quality: Maintain clean, well-documented HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript within theme files (Liquid/Handlebars/PHP) specific to the platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Part-Time Focus)

1. Proven experience as both a Designer and Developer, with a portfolio showcasing expertise on WordPress & WooCommerce.
2. High efficiency and proficiency in front-end development: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
3. Strong practical skills in a professional design tool, preferably Adobe Photoshop or Figma/Sketch.
4. Deep understanding and demonstrated execution of mobile-first, responsive design principles.
5. WordPress: Custom theme modification and builder expertise.
6. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet agreed-upon deadlines within a flexible schedule.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per month
