Technology:

Innovative Network of Knowledge will provide this role with a company provided laptop, but the employee will secure and cover the cost for the operation of this technology in the virtual landscape of his/her home office. (internet, telephone, home office setup, etc.).

Position Overview:

The Dean of Curriculum & Instruction is a key instructional leader responsible for driving academic excellence across our online public and private school programs. This role supports, develops, and holds teachers accountable to high standards of instruction while ensuring alignment with state standards, organizational goals, and best practices in virtual learning.

The ideal candidate is experienced in instructional coaching, evaluation systems such as T-TESS, and innovative instructional models including Project-Based Learning (PBL).


Instructional Leadership & Coaching

  1. Lead and support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to improve instructional practices and student outcomes
  2. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to teachers through regular observation cycles
  3. Model effective virtual teaching strategies and instructional best practices
  4. Support new teacher onboarding and mentoring


Teacher Evaluation & Accountability

  1. Conduct formal and informal observations using T-TESS or equivalent evaluation systems
  2. Provide timely, actionable feedback and track teacher growth and performance
  3. Hold teachers accountable for instructional quality, student engagement, and professional responsibilities


Curriculum & Instructional Design

  1. Support teachers in curriculum writing, pacing guides, and lesson planning aligned to state standards
  2. Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across grade levels and content areas
  3. Collaborate with staff to continuously refine and improve instructional materials


Project-Based Learning (PBL) Implementation

  1. Support and guide the implementation of a Project-Based Learning instructional model
  2. Provide resources, training, and coaching to ensure high-quality PBL experiences
  3. Monitor fidelity of PBL implementation across classrooms


Classroom Monitoring & Data-Driven Instruction

  1. Monitor virtual classrooms to ensure rigor, engagement, and compliance
  2. Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and interventions
  3. Partner with teachers to develop strategies for improving student achievement


Qualifications:


Required:

  1. Master’s degree in Education or related field (required)
  2. Valid teaching certification (administrative certification preferred)
  3. Minimum of 3–5 years of successful teaching experience; leadership experience preferred
  4. Experience with T-TESS or similar teacher evaluation systems
  5. Strong knowledge of online/virtual instruction best practices
  6. Experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL) models
  7. Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead adult learners

Work Conditions:

  1. Full-time, 12-month administrative role.
  2. Work is performed from a remote office environment.
  3. May involve extended hours during peak times (e.g., state reporting deadlines, audits)
