Role Description:

We are seeking self-motivated and responsive individuals who possess a deep passion for data. As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate closely with a team comprising statistical analysts, business analysts, and data engineers throughout the project lifecycle. From data extraction to feature engineering, model design, and development, this role demands hands-on expertise to craft value-adding solutions that effectively address real business challenges.

Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the business team to identify key questions and devise data-driven solutions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analyses.
• Partner with business teams to comprehend business requirements, assess their impact on existing systems, and design and implement new data provisioning pipeline processes, particularly in the domains of Finance and External Reporting.
• Apply advanced statistical methodologies, including regression, properties of distributions, and statistical tests, effectively.
• Utilize Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to develop end-to-end methodologies for tasks such as sentiment analysis, text classification, and topic modeling.
• Employ advanced data mining and machine learning techniques, such as GLM/Regression, K-Means Clustering, Decision Trees, Random Forest, GNBC, NLP, AI, and Social Network Analysis, articulating their suitability for specific challenges.
• Demonstrate business acumen by understanding customers' and stakeholders' needs beyond stated requests, driving business value.

Qualifications:

M.S. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or similar quantitative field; a graduate degree in a quantitative field is highly preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in a data engineering, analytics, or data science role.
• 1+ years of experience in Natural Language Processing methodologies.
• Proficient in Python, Spark ML, and SQL; experience or exposure to R and SAS is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning models based on cybersecurity-related workflows.
• Enthusiastic quick learner with a strong mathematical foundation, coding skills, and a desire to expand data science experience.
• Experience using statistics and machine learning to solve complex business problems.
• Experience in financial services is a plus but not required.
