Data Engineer (Remote – PST/CST Hours)

About the Role

We’re seeking a Data Engineer to join our rapidly growing analytics and data infrastructure team. You’ll play a key role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining our data pipelines and systems. This is a remote position, but you must be comfortable working core PST or CST hours.

What You’ll Do

1. Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
2. Write efficient, production-quality Python code to transform and integrate data across multiple systems.
3. Develop, optimize, and debug complex SQL queries, joins, and stored procedures.
4. Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, well-structured data models.
5. Troubleshoot and articulate complex data issues clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
6. Contribute to the evolution of our data architecture and best practices as the team scales.

What We’re Looking For

1. 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
2. Strong proficiency in Python (data wrangling, automation, and ETL frameworks).
3. Expert-level SQL skills — deep understanding of joins, window functions, and performance tuning.
4. Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
