The WMS Data Conversion Lead is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the data conversion process during the implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role requires a deep understanding of data migration and transformation techniques, as well as expertise in WMS systems. The WMS Data Conversion Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful transfer of data from existing systems to the new WMS, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compatibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data conversion strategy for WMS implementation projects.
• Define data conversion goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Assess data quality and identify data cleansing and transformation needs.
• Lead the identification and mapping of data from legacy systems to the new WMS.
• Collaborate with IT and data analysts to extract data from source systems.
• Ensure data extraction methods align with project requirements.
• Develop data transformation rules and scripts to ensure data compatibility with the WMS.
• Oversee data cleansing efforts to resolve data quality issues.
• Implement data validation checks to maintain data integrity.
• Plan and execute data migration tests to validate the accuracy of converted data.
• Collaborate with end-users to verify that converted data meets business requirements.
• Address and resolve data migration issues and discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed documentation of data conversion processes and procedures.
• Generate regular reports on data conversion progress and issues.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Work closely with IT teams, project managers, and end-users to coordinate data conversion activities.
• Provide guidance and support to data conversion team members.
• Implement quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and maintain data conversion best practices.
• Assist in resolving data-related issues that may arise after WMS implementation.
• Provide training and documentation to end-users on data-related processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in data conversion and migration projects, with at least 8 years of experience in WMS data conversion.
• Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and their data requirements.
• Proficiency in data transformation tools and scripting languages.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
