Cross View, a vibrant and growing, Lutheran church in Edina, Minnesota, is seeking a digital creator, studio producer and social media storyteller. In this exciting new role, you will help lead Cross View reach unchurched people in our community with stories of redemption, hope, and gratitude, and will help enhance that story of salvation in regular worship.

Cross View’s purpose is to develop fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ, and the Multimedia Outreach Storyteller and producer is a new full-time role on the church staff that will expand and amplify its ministry outside of the church’s walls. The position will report to Cross View’s Senior Pastor.

Key responsibilities:

· Develop and execute an integrated content and production strategy to drive greater awareness of Cross View and its ministries, people, and opportunities to join the church.

· Work with experienced Cross View staff, members, and leaders to use media and state-of-the-art equipment to enhance worship, sermons, and presentations.

· Record, write, edit, and produce video and social media stories that are short and easily shared.

· Lead the planning and production of livestreaming for worship services and other needs in support of Cross View’s volunteer digital ministry team.

· Manage and train the volunteers who support the streaming work with audio and video technology.

· Develop and recommend technology, tools, resources, partners, and processes to help Cross View increase its reach and impact while efficiently utilizing time and resources.

· Work in partnership with the Senior Pastor and other staff colleagues to develop an editorial and production calendar that sources content from all areas of Cross View and plans out content for owned and shared channels.

· Serve as an advisor and consultant on technical and production needs and requests, and help organize them into a cohesive strategy.

· Support the Senior Pastor in fulfilling other responsibilities as assigned and work collaboratively with the church marketing council as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants do not have to be a member of Cross View for this role. However, they should be comfortable with and support the teachings of the LCMS (Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod) and be able to participate eagerly in weekly worship services and staff meetings. Ideal candidates will come from a broadcast journalism, content studio, or live content development and production background. Candidates must have experience or substantial college training in most of the following areas: shooting, editing, and producing video; sound and audio mixing; broadcast production, social media management, and community engagement; end-to-end livestreaming; digital asset management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
