Role Description

We are seeking a Controls Technician to join our team. This is a full-time hybrid role, implying that the role is located in Idaho Falls, ID, but some remote work is acceptable. The Controls Technician will work on projects that involve designing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining control systems for our clients. The successful applicant will collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure the systems meet the clients' needs and comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in designing and troubleshooting control systems, including PLC-based and/or DCS-based control systems
  • Knowledge of industry standards, such as NEC, UL, ISA, and IEC, and regulatory requirements, such as OSHA and EPA
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, and C
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work effectively with clients
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively, prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines
  • Valid driver's license, with ability to travel to client sites
  • Experience with HMI development, SCADA systems, and/or motion control systems is a plus
