Solar Utility Development – IPP/Owner Operator

Note: Contract manager experience within the power generation industry is required

Company Profile:

A newly developed and well-funded renewable powerhouse with a leadership team having hundreds of years of experience previously leading for the largest Solar/Wind Developers, IPPs and Owner/Operators are adding a Contract Manager to their team. This team develops projects in the US as well as internationally focusing on Development, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Financing and Operations and Maintenance (O&M).

This team is finalizing a few PPA’s (500MW size projects) and looking for a Contracts Manager to join on the ground floor of the company’s growth. This team works remotely including employees working internationally in Asia and Europe

Contracts Manager Scope of Responsibilities:

As a Contracts Manager, you will hold a critical role in our organization, focusing on standardizing O&M and Asset Management processes reporting to the Sr. Vice President. The Contracts Manager will review agreements, identify contractual obligations, help set up the divisional processes and procedures, work with the design team and leadership to organize department processes. Additional responsibilities include:

• Craft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions.
• Create and maintain relationships with suppliers and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning contracts.
• Maintain records of correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
• Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
• Assist stakeholders with contract interpretation.
• Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to what’s best for the company.
• Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.
• Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.
• Provide support and advice on new potential businesses opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes with key stakeholders.

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, STEM or similar.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) is a plus.
• 3-7+ years of contract manager experience within power generation industry required (with solar utility experience heavily preferred).
• 3+ years of O&M and/or Asset Management.
• 3+ years with long-term service agreements (LTSA) and warranty agreements.
• High degree of software literacy.

Compensation: $100k-$140k (Negotiable) + Bonus + Full Benefits + Fully Remote
