THE ROLE: CONTENT WRITER (BRAND & SEO)
Stingray Direct is a direct-to-consumer, large-scale performance-based e-commerce company. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Content Writer to join our dynamic team. This role reports directly to the Brand Director and will support all Omni-channel brand initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in crafting compelling, SEO-optimized content that aligns with our brand identities. This role involves creating and QAing a wide range of content, including emails, sms, ads, blogs, and other marketing materials. This person will be responsible for devising copy that speaks to multiple target audiences across a variety of wellness brands, maintaining consistency in voice and tone. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have experience writing content for the wellness/beauty industry.
Requirements
CONTENT WRITER (BRAND & SEO) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write engaging and original content for various platforms such as websites, blogs, email and SMS campaigns, and social media assets
- Conduct keyword research and use SEO tools to optimize content for maximum visibility and ranking, implementing SEO best practices in all content creation
- Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice
- Proofread and edit content for clarity, grammar, and accuracy
- Develop a deep understanding of the target audience and messaging strategy per brand
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive copy for Google and social media ads (Facebook, IG, YouTube, etc.) that resonates with our target audience and drives action
- Prioritize multiple projects and deliver highly effective and creative work
- Distill complex scientific information to easily digestible action items for the everyday reader
- Stay updated with content trends and suggest innovative ideas to enhance brand presence
- Support the development of a monthly content calendar, pitching topics, themes, and ideas
CONTENT WRITER (BRAND & SEO) CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in content writing, with a focus on SEO and brand copy
- Proven track record of producing high-quality and engaging content
- Proven ability to write effective ad copy for Google, social media, and email
- Familiarity with email marketing software/tools such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Iterable, or Hubspot
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
- Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Analytics
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress
- Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong creative, conversational writing style
- Proven track record writing excellent content about a variety of topics
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong research skills and attention to detail
- Ability to write in multiple voices for multiple brands while maintaining consistency in brand voice and tone
- A portfolio of writing samples and examples of your work
- Must be Located in California
