Job Description:

The Content Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies specifically tailored to drive leads for client businesses. The Content Strategist will work closely with clients (whether directly or through Account Managers) to understand their unique value propositions, target audiences, and growth objectives, and help guide the development of content that seamlessly communicates these messages to prospective clients through various digital mediums.

 


What you will do – Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, present, and support the development of content-specific reports, strategies, and plans for internal teams and clients (both existing and prospective), including:
    • Key Findings Reports (KFRs)
    • Information Architectures
  • Develop comprehensive content calendars and distribution plans to ensure consistent messaging across all digital platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and digital advertising.
  • Guide the development of compelling and informative content tailored to various stages of the franchise buyer's journey, including website content, blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, and more by working with internal teams (editors, writers, creatives, account/project managers)
  • Perform content audits for client and competitor materials, with emphasis on websites (including digital white papers, landing pages, etc.) and user flow to identify content opportunities and develop strategies to differentiate the franchise brand.
  • Monitor content performance using relevant analytics tools and metrics, and provide insights to optimize content strategies and drive lead generation.
  • Stay up to date on the latest developments in digital marketing (e.g. search engine optimization, content trends and consumer behavior) and the franchise industry (e.g. trends, best practices, and emerging technologies) to make recommendations for effective content related change for clients
  • Work with internal teams (account, paid media) to ensure content plans align with overall client goals
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

What we look for

  • 4+ years’ experience in digital content marketing, with emphasis on SEO with content creation, management, and optimization
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, other
  • Working knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, Moz, SEMRush, or AHrefs (certification a plus, but not necessary)
  • Strong communication skills (in person and virtually) with the ability to educate, inform, and persuade
  • Confidence and ease when presenting or facilitating meetings with clients and senior executives, with the ability to present complex topics to people unfamiliar with the information
  • Well-honed writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Adaptable to change and able to switch gears, ability to manage multiple clients in a variety of industries simultaneously
  • A problem solver who develops solutions and takes complex ideas and make them actionable
  • Mix analytical and creative thinking with the ability to discover and build off of patterns
