Lawyers On Demand, a Consilio company, seeks a contract staff attorney for a Maryland non-profit organization. Qualified candidates will have civil law experience and the ability to assist individuals in need with a range of civil legal matters, including family law; landlord-tenant; consumer matters such as debt collection and credit card cases; child support; and criminal record expungements. This is a full-time, long-term contract assignment with work performed onsite in either Glen Burnie or Annapolis, Maryland.

Requirements:

Experience providing legal advice on the civil legal matters noted above
Experience drafting pleadings and motions, and completing court forms, filings, and other documents
Legal research and writing
Licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland
Ability to work in-person from 8:30am-4:30pm, M-F in either Glen Burnie or Annapolis, MD (two openings) for 3-6 months with the possibility of going longer and of permanent, salaried hire

The pay rate for this position is $35 per hour.
