The Configuration & Release Engineer is responsible for building, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting configuration customizations and enhancements for enterprise healthcare applications. This role requires strong attention to detail to ensure accurate configuration changes and reliable releases across environments. The engineer will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support system configuration, issue resolution, and ongoing improvements aligned with business and healthcare data exchange needs.
II. Essential Functions of Position
1. Configure and deploy application changes across development, test, and production environments.
2. Maintain clean, detailed, and complete technical documentation for all configuration and release activities.
3. Troubleshoot configuration, integration, and release issues in a timely manner.
4. Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to complete builds and resolve issues.
5. Support version control, release management, and deployment processes.
6. Participate in testing, validation, and post-release verification activities.
7. Ensure adherence to internal SDLC and configuration management processes.
8. Additional duties may be assigned as required by evolving business needs.
III. Required Education, Skills and Experience
1. Associate’s degree (2-year) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent experience.
2. One to three years of relevant experience in configuration, release, or software support preferred.
3. Experience and/or familiarity with SQL, GIT/version control systems, XML.
4. Experience working with object-oriented programming concepts (for troubleshooting and/understanding system behavior).
5. Experience supporting enterprise applications or integrations.
6. Previous healthcare IT experience preferred.
7. Knowledge of or experience with IMB Initiate and IBM DataPower.
8. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and execute accurately.
10. Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
11. Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
12. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
13. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of Company and client information.
14. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
IV.Working Conditions and Other Requirements
1. Ability to be seated and use computer equipment for several hours per day.
2. Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. and operate standard office equipment.
3. Visual acuity required to read documents and computer screens.
4. Position may be eligible for remote work.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
