Position Summary: Communications/Marketing Specialist
The Communications/Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of all communications and marketing efforts for GatorCare wellness and member benefit programs. This role manages content across multiple platforms including the GatorCare website, newsletters, posters, flyers, calendars, and social media channels.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communications and marketing strategies for GatorCare programs across digital and print platforms
- Create and manage content for the GatorCare website, newsletters, promotional materials, and program calendars
- Oversee and enhance GatorCare’s online presence, including social media and website management
- Produce a variety of multimedia assets (graphics, videos, presentations, etc.) to support communication efforts
- Serve as a strategic communications partner for GatorCare, using sound judgment and experience to support program goals
- Collaborate with team members to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all communication materials
- Ensure all materials meet high standards of copy editing, visual design, and brand consistency

Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, communications, graphic design or appropriate area of specialization and one year of relevant experience; or an associate's degree and three years of relevant experience. Preferred Requirements: Three-five years' experience developing and editing content for multimedia communications tools and interpreting web analytics data. Experience with WordPress, Canva, Google Analytics and/or MailChimp. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
