Job Title: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) - Legal

Location: Remote

Position Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000

Stealth partners with growth-focused law firms investing significantly in marketing to drive qualified case volume and firm expansion. We are seeking a results-driven CMO-level marketing leader with strong legal industry experience to oversee a portfolio of up to 8 law firm clients and lead a team of Marketing Directors responsible for execution. The CMO will deliver strategy, jump in where necessary, and manage accountability and measurable ROI.

This is not a passive advisory role. This CMO will architect strategy, lead Directors, show up fully prepared to client meetings to present to law firm ownership, dig deep on performance data, and drive measurable case growth through high-touch optimization.

Role Overview

The CMO is the strategic and performance leader for their assigned legal clients.

You will:

● Develop the overarching growth and paid media strategy for each firm

● Oversee strategy and performance for up to 8 law firm clients

● Lead and manage 2 Marketing Directors

● Show up fully prepared to every client meeting

● Diagnose performance issues quickly and decisively

● Drive measurable improvements in cost efficiency and case acquisition growth through data-backed strategies

● Hold internal team members and external vendors accountable

This role requires executive presence, deep analytical skill, and hands-on performance marketing expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy Development

● Facilitate client audit to diagnose marketing challenges and overcome roadblocks

● Develop comprehensive marketing and paid media strategies aligned to firm revenue goals

● Build six month growth roadmaps and present the roadmaps to law firm ownership

● Oversee the execution of agency vendors, working with Directors to optimize paid campaigns and holding vendors accountable to objectives through performance reviews

● Remove roadblocks, offer creative solutions, and a whatever it takes attitude towards hitting client growth objectives

● Work collaboratively with other team members to share ideas, overcome roadblocks, and keep a client’s marketing program on track

● Deliver top notch presentation decks in Google Slides for clients through writing, and pulling together any required image or visual assets

● Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitor research, and customer segmentation to inform strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities

● Provide strategic guidance and recommendations on positioning, messaging, ad copy, target audience identification, and go-to-market strategies

High-Touch Campaign Audits & Optimizations

● Work with other Stealth team members to conduct thorough audits of campaign performance across Google Ads, LSAs, Meta, YouTube and other paid channels

● Dig into keyword performance, bidding strategy, creative performance, audience targeting, and funnel conversion metrics

● Identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities quickly

● Provide expert insight and frameworks for budget and performance forecasting, go-to-market strategies, vendor and executive management

● Direct budget reallocations and scaling strategies based on data to improve lead costs

Marketing Content Development

● Organize, develop, write, and proof high-quality content and video scripts for various marketing channels, including websites, sales decks, email campaigns, and ad copy, ensuring brand consistency and engagement

● Craft compelling sales and advertising copy that drives conversions, enhances brand positioning, and effectively communicates key value propositions

● Plan content calendars and targeted email marketing

Marketing Team Management

● Manage up to two Marketing Director level team members in implementing strategic plan through tactical execution

● Guide Marketing Directors on the best ways to utilize marketing automation tools like Hubspot for workflow creation and customer nurturing, contact data importing, and campaign messaging

● Ensure high standards for analysis, reporting, and execution

● Provide expert insight and frameworks for budget and performance forecasting, go-to-market strategies, brand stories, vendor and executive management

● Hold Directors accountable to client performance goals

● Foster a culture of ownership and urgency

Executive Client Leadership & Relationship Management

● Lead high-level strategy and performance meetings with law firm ownership

● Manage up to 8 law firm client relationships

● Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner for their marketing initiatives

● Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and priorities, and tailor marketing consulting services to meet their needs

● Evaluate client strategy plans and identify opportunities for expansion or evaluate and approve cases for resource reductions

Qualifications

● Minimum 10+ years in senior marketing leadership (Director, VP, or CMO level).

● Direct experience in legal marketing (law firm or legal-focused agency), preferably personal injury.

● Proven track record of success in driving growth for law firms investing significantly in paid media.

● Strong expertise in digital marketing channels, marketing technology, analytics and best practices. Platforms include: Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, conversion tracking and attribution.

● Experience managing and mentoring senior marketing team members.

● Exceptional presentation and executive communication skills.

● Ability to move quickly, think critically, and operate with precision.

● Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.

● Fractional or consulting experience.

● Experience working with EOS-run businesses.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
