WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Target Salary Range ($76,875-$124,823)

Sorrento Therapeutics (“Sorrento”) is seeking an EDC Programmer, CDM, to join our Biometrics team.
EDC programming provides a broad range of EDC system and platform support within the Biometrics department. This position is responsible for technical support and application administration of in-house EDC technology. A high level of communication, coordination, organization, analytical and technical skills are required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in the maintenance and continued development of electronic data capture (EDC) standards for Sorrento.
Supports and guides team in data standards adoption and implementation by ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
Partners with CDM Project Leads and cross functional team members as necessary to plan for successful development and delivery of EDC related study deliverables.
Assists with EDC system administration, to ensure appropriate provisioning of user access and site administration for studies managed in-house.
Contributes to DM study documents such as Data Management Plans, CRF Completion Guidelines, and Data Transfer Agreements.
Advises on EDC system improvements to increase efficiency and quality within the EDC business.
Contribute to identifying, locating, evaluating, and validating CDM documents, databases, and integrations required for report generation or regulatory submission
Works with team to determine system scope, components, functional flow, and data workflow of in-house clinical database systems and associated modules.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE:
2-6 years of relevant programming experience in a Pharmaceutical, Biotech, CRO or research environment

Associate’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Medidata RAVE SDBE Certified is a plus
Knowledge of EDC systems and of data structures within these systems, and integrations of data capture systems
Ability to assess the inherent risks of a situation, their potential impact on a project and based on this information, independently make timely decisions
Strong technical skills and ability to understand data definition tables, structures and data integration
Proficiency in database architecture and supporting toolsets
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Advanced ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to manage vendor relationships
A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and continued industry related education
Ability to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have ability to innovate, think strategically and conceptually, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Eager to learn new skills and work in flexible environment to accomplish corporate goals.
Ability to handle even difficult situations professionally and maintain a professional and caring demeanor
