Smeja Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Building Maintenance/ Handyman to join our team and ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of our facilities. The Building Maintenance/ Handyman will play a critical role in preserving the overall functionality and appearance of our buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of building systems, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks, including but not limited to HVAC system checks, plumbing assessments, electrical system inspections, and structural evaluations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, addressing issues such as leaks, malfunctions, and safety concerns.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC problems, implementing effective solutions to restore functionality.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty equipment, components, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced.
• Perform regular cleaning and upkeep tasks, including painting, carpentry work, and landscaping, to maintain the building's aesthetic appeal.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7am-5pm (Weekend availibility as needed)

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure, especially during emergencies.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
