Location: Remote, US-based, with regular travel to industry SEO/MarTech conferences Type: Part-time, W-2 (20 hours/week, 4 hours/day Mon–Fri)

Compensation: Base salary + performance commission on attributed revenue

DataForSEO provides SEO and web-intelligence APIs (SERP, Keywords, Backlinks, On-Page, Domain Analytics, Labs, App Data, and others) used by thousands companies worldwide — SEO tool vendors, marketing agencies, in-house SEO teams, and data-resellers. We're profitable, founder-led, and growing our US footprint. This is a new role reporting directly to the CEO.

What you will actually do

Develop and supervise brand ambassador program (≈55% of time)

  1. Recruit 15–25 paid US-based brand ambassadors over the first 12 months — SEO consultants, agency owners, in-house SEO leads, content creators, and conference speakers
  2. Negotiate ambassador agreements: referral commission %, content deliverables (posts, videos, mentions), conference shout-outs
  3. Run monthly 1:1s with the ambassador roster, review their content, coordinate payouts
  4. Track ambassador-attributed signups, MRR, and churn

Conference circuit (≈45% of time)

  1. Plan and execute 6–9 US conferences per year. Realistic targets include MozCon, SMX Advanced, Pubcon, BrightonSEO US (San Diego), Affiliate Summit West/East, MAICON, SaaStr, and regional/vertical events
  2. Pre-event: pull the speaker list, pre-book 5-10 prospect meetings per major show
  3. Post-event: deliver qualified opportunities to the sales team within 5 business days, with notes that a salesperson can act on without re-discovery

Required

  1. 2+ years in B2B SaaS partnerships, BD, or channel sales - selling into SEO, martech, or developer-tools buyers
  2. An existing US network in the SEO/marketing community. Concretely: you can name 50+ people you'd email or DM in week one (we'll ask)
  3. Verifiable track record of generating pipeline from conferences. Bring numbers: how many opportunities, how much closed-won, from which events
  4. Ability to demo and discuss an API product credibly with a senior developer or technical SEO. You don't write code, but you need to explain why someone picks our SERP API over Bright Data, Apify, or building in-house
  5. Willing to travel and visit few conferences per year
  6. US work authorization
  7. Self-directed and disciplined with limited hours. You own the US BD function. You have 20 focused hours per week to deliver - not 40 - so ruthless prioritization and async working style are non-negotiable
  8. Compatible with part-time: no conflicting full-time role at a competitor (SEO/martech vendor, proxy/data provider, scraping platform). Other non-competing work, your own consulting SEO practice, or another part-time role is fine if disclosed
  9. Daily AI-tool user. You should already be using Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent for prospect research, drafting outreach, summarizing call notes, building target lists, and lightweight automation (Zapier/Make/n8n, Clay, Apollo with AI workflows). In the interview we will ask you to walk through 2–3 workflows you have personally built or run in the last 90 days. "I've used ChatGPT" is not a sufficient answer
