BOARD OPPORTUNITY
Non-Executive Director / Board Member
Burel Factory is seeking an experienced senior leader to join its Board and contribute to the organization's strategic direction, governance, growth, and long-term development.
The successful candidate will bring independent judgment, broad commercial perspective, and the ability to constructively challenge and support executive management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent strategic guidance to the Board and executive leadership team.
- Contribute to the development and oversight of long-term corporate strategy.
- Review organizational performance, major investments, strategic initiatives, and business priorities.
- Support strong standards of corporate governance, accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership.
- Provide appropriate oversight of financial performance, enterprise risk, operational resilience, and capital allocation.
- Advise executive leadership on business transformation, organizational development, and sustainable growth.
- Contribute expertise to potential partnerships, acquisitions, market expansion, and other strategic initiatives.
- Support succession planning, leadership development, and executive performance oversight.
- Leverage relevant industry and professional networks where appropriate to strengthen strategic relationships and market opportunities.
- Represent the interests of shareholders and key stakeholders while maintaining an independent and long-term perspective.
Board Candidate Profile
We are interested in individuals who have held significant leadership positions such as Board Director, Chair, CEO, Managing Director, President, COO, CFO, Business Unit Leader, Partner, Founder, or equivalent senior appointments.
Candidates should ideally demonstrate:
- Significant senior executive, entrepreneurial, advisory, or board-level experience.
- Strong commercial and strategic judgment.
- Experience operating in complex, growing, or transforming organizations.
- Understanding of governance, financial oversight, risk management, and organizational performance.
- Experience influencing decisions at executive committee or board level.
- Strong stakeholder-management and relationship-building capabilities.
- An international or multi-market perspective would be advantageous.
- The confidence to challenge constructively while maintaining collaborative relationships with fellow directors and management.
Previous public, private, family-owned, private-equity-backed, or high-growth company board experience may be valuable but is not essential where the candidate brings substantial executive leadership experience.
EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY
Senior Executive Leadership Appointment
Burel Factory is also considering accomplished executives for a senior leadership appointment with responsibility for translating corporate strategy into measurable business results.
Depending on the successful candidate's background, the mandate may align with a Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, President, Chief Strategy Officer, or comparable senior executive position.
The Executive Mandate
The appointed executive will work closely with the Board and senior leadership team to strengthen business performance, identify growth opportunities, develop organizational capabilities, and position Burel Factory for sustainable long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization's strategic and commercial priorities.
- Provide leadership across business operations, people, financial performance, and organizational development.
- Translate Board-approved strategy into clear operational objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Identify new markets, partnerships, products, services, and revenue opportunities.
- Strengthen operational efficiency, accountability, and performance management.
- Build and develop a high-performing senior leadership team.
- Maintain disciplined oversight of budgets, investments, resources, and business performance.
- Lead strategic transformation and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Establish productive relationships with customers, investors, partners, suppliers, regulators, and other important stakeholders.
- Assess business risks and establish appropriate mitigation and continuity strategies.
- Support potential expansion, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, or other corporate-development initiatives where appropriate.
- Ensure the organization maintains strong governance, compliance, and ethical standards.
- Provide the Board with clear, timely, and transparent reporting regarding performance, opportunities, and material business risks.
Executive Candidate Profile
The successful candidate is expected to have a substantial record of senior leadership and demonstrated responsibility for business performance.
Relevant experience may include:
- Senior leadership experience within an established, entrepreneurial, industrial, manufacturing, technology, services, investment, or growth-oriented organization.
- Responsibility for significant operations, business units, markets, or P&L performance.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing corporate or commercial strategy.
- Strong understanding of financial performance and value creation.
- Experience leading organizations through growth, transformation, restructuring, international expansion, or other periods of significant change.
- Proven ability to build effective leadership teams and organizational cultures.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working directly with Boards, investors, shareholders, or institutional stakeholders.
- International business exposure would be advantageous.
