Beyond Yoga's Merchandising team is growing and looking for a temporary hire Merchandising Assistant to help during heavy workload periods.
This position will report to the Head of Merchandising, directly supporting the Merchandising Coordinator and Sr. Manager.

What you'll do:

• Support the Merchandising Team at Beyond Yoga across all product categories, working through the full product lifecycle from inception to sell out
• Assist in the coordination, execution, and management of the activities in the Merchandising Department
• Support RLM product systems set up and maintenance from design concept to post market
• Seasonal style manager product list management (RLM)
• RLM seasonal scrubs
• Maintain spreadsheets/reports
• Linesheet/Merch Guide updates
• Line management/change log ownership
• Pricing updates
• Creative Linesheet Reviews
• Review and support weekly report creation: including top/bottom sellers, price point, sizing, category and competitive analysis, plus ad hoc reporting as needed
• Assist in all design/merchandising milestone meetings with note taking, note circulation, and maintenance of tracking documents
• Be fully versed on all seasonal product, key strategies, and initiatives
• Support the build of quarterly product assortments with merch/sales/planning (for DTC & Wholesale)
• Support sales with pre-market needs including pre-lines
• Support Exclusive request/Special Make-Up/Liability Capsule needs with sales, design, and sourcing teams
• Research competition, trends, and marketplace strategies online & in-stores
• Partner with teams across the organization including merchandising, design, planning, sales, global sourcing, marketing and e-commerce
• Perform other ad hoc duties projects as needed due to business demands

Who you are:
Passionate about product and in-tune with fashion trends, with a strong willingness to learn. Must be a team player with a great attitude. Enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. A clear communicator, detail-oriented, organized, with ability to perform across multiple workstreams and able to work well with cross-function teams.

• Entry level role. Experience in the Apparel industry preferred: Retail selling floor, internships, or exposure to merchandising/buying role a bonus
• Basic Microsoft Office skills: Foundational understanding Excel, Power Point, Google Systems
• Strong math and analytical skills; data manipulation
• Exposure to/knowledge of RLM, Asana, Joor, Shopify a plus
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a strong attention to detail
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Highly organized, detail oriented, deadline driven, and able to prioritize multiple task
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Problem analysis and problem solving
• Must have a can-do attitude and strong work ethic
• Attained or working towards Fashion merchandising degree, business degree, or similar preferred
