We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator to join our team. As a Benefits Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your role will involve managing benefits enrollment, assisting employees with benefit inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits
- Coordinate open enrollment processes and communicate benefit options to employees
- Assist employees with benefit inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of employee information
- Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related paperwork
- Prepare reports for management on benefits utilization, costs, and trends
- Stay updated on changes in employment labor laws and regulations related to benefits administration
- Manage relationships with benefit providers and negotiate contracts as needed
- Assist with regulatory reporting requirements related to employee benefits
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Proven experience in benefits administration or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations pertaining to employee benefits
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex benefit information to employees
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Kronos) for managing employee data and generating reports
- Familiarity with FMLA regulations and processes is a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
