About the Role

As Senior Back-End Developer, you will design and build custom Magento 2 modules, lead complex system integrations, and ensure seamless data exchange across ERP, PIM, POS, and payment platforms. You will play a critical role in strengthening backend performance, enforcing coding standards, and driving continuous improvement across the engineering team.

This role blends deep technical execution with mentorship and strategic thinking. You will contribute to architecture decisions, conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and elevate engineering best practices.

AI is a core requirement in this environment. The team expects developers to actively leverage AI for code generation, workflow optimization, prompt engineering, automation, logging integrations, chatbot development, and prototyping. Candidates who are not integrating AI into their development process will not be a fit.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Web Application Development and Integration

1. Design and implement custom Magento 2 modules to solve complex business challenge
2. Build and maintain integrations with ERP systems, PIM platforms, payment gateways, and other third-party services
3. Enhance and evolve the internal core framework for efficient system interoperability
4. Troubleshoot integration issues and maintain high system reliability
5. Write clean, modular, reusable code for scalability and long-term maintainability

Magento Module Development

1. Develop and optimize Magento modules for performance and compatibility
2. Integrate Magento with POS, ERP, and external service platforms
3. Perform thorough testing and debugging across environments
4. Document architecture, specifications, and integration processes

Solution Testing and Quality Assurance

1. Execute comprehensive test plans across Linux, Windows, and mobile environments
2. Perform performance testing to ensure scalability and load handling
3. Identify and resolve bugs and inconsistencies
4. Optimize database queries and system configurations for stability

Collaboration and Technical Leadership

1. Partner with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
2. Conduct code reviews and enforce Magento best practices
3. Mentor junior developers and support skill development
4. Contribute to documentation and shared technical knowledge

Innovation and Process Improvement

1. Proactively introduce new tools and workflow improvement
2. Stay ahead of industry trends in Magento, Adobe Commerce, cloud infrastructure, and AI-driven development
3. Implement AI workflows, prompt engineering strategies, automation tools, and chatbot prototypes within the development lifecycle

What You Bring

Experience and background

1. Minimum 5 years of backend development experience with strong focus on Magento 2 or

Adobe Commerce

1. Proven experience integrating external systems and APIs in production environments
2. Experience working in collaborative engineering teams

Technical Expertise

1. Advanced PHP 7 and 8 and strong Object-Oriented Programming principles
2. Deep knowledge of Magento 2 backend architecture including dependency injection,
3. plugins, events and observers, and service contracts
4. Strong experience with REST and GraphQL APIs
5. Proficiency in MySQL, AJAX, XML, and HTML
6. Strong GIT version control skills
7. Adobe Commerce Professional certification preferred. Certification must be obtained within six months if not currently certified

Nice to Have

1. Linux system administration experience
2. SOAP and REST web services integration
3. Unit, integration, and functional testing experience
4. AWS deployment and infrastructure management
5. CI and CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines
6. Docker and containerization experience

AI Capability Requirement

1. Active use of AI tools in development workflows
2. Experience building AI-driven automation, prompt engineering for code, or chatbot prototypes
3. Familiarity with logging and tooling integrations enhanced by AI
4. Demonstrated experimentation or production use of AI-assisted development practices
