Job Title: Backend Web Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a Backend Web Developer with 4+ years of experience in .NET, C#, and enterprise system integration to support and enhance DynamicWeb-based e-commerce websites while supporting and executing on the transition to a new Commerce site (Magento/Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce, etc.) as our long-term e-commerce solution.

The ideal candidate has expertise in backend architecture, API development, cloud services (Azure), and integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and Customer Engagement (D365 CE).

Key Responsibilities

Support & Enhance DynamicWeb Websites (Current State)

1. Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing existing DynamicWeb-based e-commerce websites.
2. Develop and optimize backend functionality using ASP.NET Web Forms, C#, and Razor templates.
3. Support integrations with ERP (D365 F&O) and CRM (D365 CE) for order processing, inventory, and customer account workflows.
4. Ensure security, reliability, and performance across backend systems.

Contribute to Transition to new Commerce Platform (Future State)

1. Collaborate with the other developers to build and maintain eCommerce backend functionality.
2. Develop custom plugins, integrations, and APIs using PHP, MySQL, and eCommerce APIs.
3. Implement third-party integrations (payment gateways, shipping providers, tax tools).
4. Support data migration processes for products, orders, and customers.

ERP & CRM Integration

1. Assist in designing and maintaining workflows and APIs to sync data between D365 F&O, D365 CE, and eCommerce platform.
2. Implement and support integrations for order management, inventory, and reporting.
3. Work with Power Automate, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
4. Troubleshoot existing ERP/CRM integrations as needed.

Cloud & DevOps

1. Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployments.
2. Help deploy and maintain backend applications in Azure (App Services, Functions, SQL Databases, Service Bus).
3. Contribute to maintaining secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments.

Qualifications & Skills

1. 4+ years of experience in backend web development, with strong knowledge of .NET Framework 4+, ASP.NET Web Forms and C#.
2. Experience working with SQL and relational database design.
3. Familiarity with WordPress + WooCommerce development, including PHP, MySQL, WooCommerce, Magento & WP REST APIs.
4. Understanding of RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and backend integrations.
5. Experience with git version control and associated workflows.
6. Exposure to ERP/CRM integrations (D365 preferred but not required).
7. Experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, SQL).
8. Knowledge of functional testing and test automation.
9. Modern DevOps practices like Docker containerization, k8s, CI/CD and observability.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
