LIFE is a non-profit organization in Cedarhurst, Long Island looking for an amazing individual interested in joining their fun and dynamic team as an attorney in the legal section at a 501(c) (3). This is a full time Monday to Friday, onsite, entry-level position. The candidate must be willing to train. No experience necessary. Attorney will be assisting homeowners with mortgage modifications to avoid foreclosure in mandatory settlement conferences at Nassau County Supreme Court. This is a great opportunity to meet with bank attorneys, court referees and help homeowners stay in their homes in the mediation part at Nassau County Supreme Court. Must have a polite phone demeanor and be willing to do a lot of paperwork. Small amount of motion practice. Attention to detail a must. HUD certified preferred but not required. Should have a pleasant attitude and be a team player. Federal student loan forgiveness program available.
