Position Summary

We have an immediate opening for a full time Associate, Tactical Sourcing, working extensively with our client, a wholesale beverage distributor. As a key member of our Client Services team, this position will be providing RFx management, execution and renewal management, reporting to the Managing Director, Sourcing and Procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Execute sourcing strategies and solutions that deliver cost savings while maintaining supply chain continuity and performance. Areas this role is responsible for are sourcing and managing indirect categories, including but not limited to:
  • Corporate Services
  • Distribution & Logistics
  • Marketing
  • Information Technology
  • Facilities/FF&E
  • Packaging
• Build, manage and execute RFPs; meet with potential participants, both incumbents and non-incumbents, answer RFP related questions from suppliers, analyze RFP results and help choose final supplier(s)
• Negotiate best pricing and service through the application of LogicSource's sourcing methodology, ensuring all buying complies with client policies and procedures
• Build a best-in-class supply chain; cultivate and manage relationships with best-in-class suppliers
• Implement and adhere to the supplier management structure and process
• Identify opportunities within Tail Spend to be converted to Strategic Sourcing activities
• Provide sourcing support across indirect categories
• Provide detailed cost analysis reports to the LogicSource leadership team and stakeholders

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of three (3) years cross-functional experience in managing strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management for retail store operations
• At least three (3) year’s experience: Indirect procurement, supply chain management and developing RFPs and RFIs for indirect materials
• Direct client interfacing, preferably mid-senior level management
• Managing employees and working within teams
• Experience within services industries (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing)
• Inventory management, requisitioning, fulfillment and distribution
• Strong problem solving and leadership skills
• Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work
• Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment
• Proficient in financial analysis and planning
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Understanding of retail operations in procurement

Travel: This position may require minimal travel.
