Associate Backend Developer - Costa Mesa

The Law Offices of Daniel Kim is a top-rated Personal Injury Law Firm in California. We fight for plaintiffs in cases involving cars, trucks, motorcycles, rideshare companies (Uber/Lyft), and other motor vehicle accidents.

We are searching for an Associate Backend Developer who has an interest in automation and has hands-on experience in web development. The ideal candidate holds a strong passion for creating and maintaining high-quality websites and their respective web applications. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

• $75,000 - $95,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Build, test, deploy and enhance websites and other web applications.
• Perform QA tasks and assist front end developers with sandboxing, testing, staging and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website and application issues, track bugs and produce internal documentation.
• Work with tech and marketing teams to ensure data capture and flow, maintain uptime, and build automations.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-stack web development experience.
• Highly proficient using Python, PHP, HTML-5 and JavaScript.
• Strong technical pedigree with a willingness to learn and quickly adopt new web technologies.
• Able to take direction from senior developers and provide feedback and document work product.
• Great communication and problem-solving skills, unafraid to assist with technology issues outside of their job description.
• Strong ability to optimize WordPress sites for speed and performance, implement best page speed and SEO practices.
• Experience in customizing and modifying WP plugins, themes, theme functions, actions and shortcodes.
• Ability to write custom queries, build custom post types and arrange taxonomies.
• Implement best security practices and manage users and roles as needed.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git and software methodologies like Waterfall, CI/CD and more.
• Experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a plus.
