Position Title Assistant Maintainer, Lamper

Position Summary
The Assistant Maintainer will maintain all lamps throughout the Museum through daily surveillance rounds, daily work orders and scheduled preventive work orders. Changes all light bulbs as needed. Perform associated tasks to maintain all lights fixtures such as dusting, vacuuming and cleaning. Maintain stock of bulbs in the storeroom in an orderly manner. Perform other maintenance tasks as needed.

The expected salary for Assistant Maintainer, Lamper is $37,861. This position is overtime eligible and the AMNH offers an extensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of our dedicated and diverse community.

Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience.

Required Qualifications
Ability to perform the tasks of a lamper. Have a good knowledge of electrical workings, use of lifts and ladders, good work habits, good attendance, communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
