Safety Technology Start-Up | USA Based (Fully Remote)

We’ve partnered with an innovative tech startup building next-generation safety technology that protects workers in high-stakes construction projects. Their software has already prevented accidents and saved lives across the USA, and now they’re scaling rapidly. They’re looking for an AI Engineer to own a brand-new AI product and shape how AI is used across their systems.

What you’ll do

1. Own the full AI/ML lifecycle, from ideation to designing, building, and shipping production-ready systems that balance accuracy with operational constraints.
2. Solve critical safety problems using AI, making technical recommendations and balancing trade-offs and technical debt.
3. Build frameworks and iterate on solutions, ensuring AI tools are robust, scalable, and human-centric.
4. Work autonomously in a small, high-impact team with direct access to the founders.

Tech stack: LLMs, computer vision, OCR—beyond that, the approach is up to you.

What they're looking for

1. Proven experience building and shipping AI/ML systems into production. (Preferably from similar start-up environment)
2. Self-driven, autonomous, and comfortable making architectural decisions.
3. Comfortable with ambiguity and solving open-ended problems from scratch.
4. Passionate about AI with real-world impact, particularly in safety-critical environments.
